Like a music oasis in a sketchy part of Phoenix, Celebrity Theatre is the Valley concert-goer's paradise. Incredible acoustics and a rotating stage make Celebrity the most enjoyable place to see live music in the Valley. There literally is not a bad seat in the house, since there isn't a seat farther than 75 feet from the stage. Even with a full capacity of 2,665 fans, the venue has an intimate feel. Celebrity is host to a wide variety of acts, including comedians, musicians and even motivational speakers. It doesn't have a specific crowd like most Valley venues - performers from classic rocker Joe Cocker to hip-hop heroes Wu Tang Clan play here.
Harkins Theatres is one of the major chains in the Valley, mostly showing big-budget blockbusters. But Harkins Camelview 5, located near Scottsdale Fashion Square, is a break from the mainstream, offering a smaller, more intimate movie-going experience while showing international and independent films that might not otherwise be seen in the Valley. Camelview draws an artsy crowd and has been host to the Scottsdale International Film Festival.
Nothing in life is free - unless you're searching for furniture on craigslist.com. Even IKEA can't compare to the "free" section under the "for sale" column on the site. Craigslist is the only place where you can pick up a couch that is cheaper than last night's hook-up - both of which you can find on the site. If you can manage to avoid getting sucked in by the missed connections and casual encounters sections, the furniture you can find for free - or close to it - is amazing. OK, amazing after you throw on some paint or a couch cover.

Not surprisingly, FAS 332, otherwise known as Human Sexuality, was voted favorite class at ASU. But really, who could resist a class that allows you to look at dirty pictures as homework?
It's during lecture when you realize you forgot your earrings at home. Step 1: Sneak out when the professor's back is turned. Step 2: Head to the corner of College Avenue and University Drive. Step 3: Walk into the Here on the Corner boutique and spice up that plain ensemble. Here on the Corner offers up-to-the-minute trends, including fashion-forward handbags, totes, earrings and belts in the newest nautical and metallic looks. While Here On the Corner's clothing may be a bit pricey on a student's budget, its accessories start around $10, making it the best place to find big style on a small income.

Nautical style is one of the biggest trends of the upcoming spring season. Sailor style, along with the pirate-inspired fashion from the past two fall seasons, is en vogue again.
