Zine on the Scene

For ASU alumnus Chase Kamp, the dream of making a statement with print media is a fact of life. He edits the zine (pronounced "zeen"), "Water Science." On the outside, the periodical is an unassuming, photocopied, DIY, staple-bound stack of papers. Inside, it's brimming with bright literary pieces from young, emerging writers.

Blondies Replace Librarians on Mill Avenue

In May, the scantily-clad "librarian" waitresses of Mill Avenue's Library Bar and Grill moved out. This month, cheerleaders are moving in. The space's new tenant, Blondies Sports Bar, is planning to open on a hot corner of Tempe's party district, catering to ASU sports lovers.
