SCOTUS: individual mandate is a tax

The Supreme Court upheld the central tenet of President Barack Obama's Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act Thursday morning, citing its constitutionality under Congress' right to impose taxes.

Barber beats Kelly to replace Giffords

Preliminary results show Ron Barber, who had been an aid to former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, won by about 7 percent over Republican Jesse Kelly in the Congressional District 8 special election.
