In the Huddle: Huskies Down

As heavy rain poured down on Husky Stadium in Seattle, Wash. last Saturday night, the Sun Devils found their problems with penalties and turnovers wash away with it. They put forth one of their best performances of the season against quarterback Jake Locker and the Huskies and came away with a 24-14 victory.

That's a Wrap

A few days ago I had lunch at That's a Wrap for the first time. That's a Wrap is a veggie and meat friendly restaurant located off of Camelback Avenue and Seventh Street in Phoenix that serves salads, rice bowls, and top-notch wraps. Recently, That's a Wrap moved from their previously location, which was closer to the ASU Downtown campus off of Seventh Street and McDowell.

The Art of Freestyle

A rainbow of sneakers — high tops, low tops, metallic swishes, neon laces — bounce, tap and glide on the wooden floor. Dancers move freely in cut-off tanks and sweatpants with hand-sewn pockets; loose jeans and boom-box t-shirts; high socks and big hoop earrings.

On the Road: Montezuma Castle

If you've ever driven north on Interstate 17 toward Sedona or Flagstaff, you've likely noticed signs directing you toward Montezuma Castle National Monument near Camp Verde. I had seen them myself many times but never thought too much about it.

How to: Grill

Rush hour on Main Street in Jerome. Photo by Chad Hays.

On the Road: America's Largest Ghost Town

My friend and fellow ASU student Jesse German sized up the town of Jerome pretty well in a Facebook status update over the summer: "in jerome right now.. what a crazy little one horse town!" A crazy little one-horse town, indeed. It's tough to describe Jerome. It's certainly tough to describe it to a group of college students and convince them it's worth the two-hour drive to get there from the Tempe campus.
