ASU hockey's sweep at Lake Superior State: By the numbers

The Sun Devils improved to 5-6 on the season after beating the Lakers twice on the road

ASU hockey earned its first sweep and road sweep of a Division I opponent with a pair of 3-2 wins on Friday and Saturday night. We selected a few of the most notable statistics from those games:


Number of points for freshman Jordan Masters. His goal in overtime won the game for ASU on Saturday. 


Number of wins ASU has against teams from the WCHA conference this season after its sweep of Lake Superior State. 


ASU had just one power play goal in seven opportunities in the two games. However, the one goal came on the Sun Devils' only power play opportunity on Friday night. 

ASU freshman Joe Lappin's two goals powered the Sun Devil's to Friday's 3-2 win. Entering the weekend, he had 23 shots on goal with just one score to show. 


Total number of saves for freshman goaltender Ryland Pashovitz, who got his fifth-straight road start between the pipes for the Sun Devils on Saturday night.
