Ike Diogu, men's basketball -- In the dark cloud that was the men's basketball season, sophomore Ike Diogu was the silver lining that made the future skies look clear. An honorable mention All-American, Diogu lead the Pac-10 in scoring and was ninth overall in the country, averaging 22.6 points per game.
Now that we've all heard ASU President Michael Crow's big plans for change at the University, ASU students have been wondering what will happen to their little niche at ASU. I wonder what will happen to the newspaper I've worked at for the better part of the past four years.
Although each Starbucks Coffee location has the same logo, a similar menu and similar products, some employees say not every Starbucks is created equal.

This will be the last Eric Spratling column before school ends (don't worry ladies, I'm applying again for the fall), so I figure that rather than fill today's space with productive and insightful commentary, I'd just cover some lingering odds and ends. Well, mostly "odds," actually, and a little bit of bathroom humor.
ASU East's first Student Government Association is still in its infancy, but new officers say they're paving the way for the next year.

Women in Technology at ASU East wanted to show students fashion do's and don'ts for the professional world.
Recently Blender magazine released their list of the "50 Worst Songs Ever," and with it replaced Bill's "Apprentice" victory as the No. 1 water cooler conversation in the nation. Blender is, of course, the music branch of Dennis Publications, which is responsible for such bastions of adroit commentary as Maxim. So it's probably best not to get too bent out of shape over the content of this list, but regardless, people are getting angry.
True fans have no use for balloon-like noise-makers
It was a quiet, still Saturday morning in the Superstition Mountains just east of Phoenix. My friend and I hiked along the Peralta Trail enjoying the view of the craggy peaks rising like jagged teeth from the valley floor.
