Rock 'n' Roll

For anyone itching to try something new and active, indoor rock climbing is a great place to start. But there's also bouldering, canyoneering and traditional climbing to satisfy any student's adventurous urges.

Live and Otherwise: Dirty Vegas

Remember that Mitsubishi commercial from a number of years ago (circa 2001), where there were two guys and a woman driving in an eclipse and she was performing all of these crazy arm-dance moves?

Palm Walk Runway: Natural Beauty

Now, I know that I have always been a little wary of organic or natural beauty products. But without trying them myself, I have no real expertise on whether it is really better for you or not. However, after reading an article on whowhatwear.com by Erin Lee Smith, a knowledgeable makeup artist on eco-friendly beauty products, really changed my outlook on natural products. In the article, Erin went through individual products that would be used daily in preparation for the day and described what natural ingredient each product contains. Prom... in College

Other than Ramen: Earth Day Every Day

Happy Belated Earth Day, Other than Ramen readers! Earth Day was Friday,  but this day really left an impact on me, so I decided to write a little follow-up reflection. It seems to me that every year our society as a whole becomes more and more driven to develop sustainable habits and conserve our planet.

Downtown Dispatch: Torched Goodness

Chocolate, vanilla, lavender, coconut, lemon and s’mores are all flavors of Crème Brulee that can be found around the Phoenix Metropolitan area in Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef Eric Ireland’s unique food truck. From the outside, the Torched Goodness food truck looks like any other food truck, but what is being made on the inside sets it apart from all the other run-of-the-mill food trucks.

It’s that wonderful time of year again. You know the one I’m talking about, don’t you? Where finals and projects start piling up, slowly deteriorating your once agile mind into a squishy blob of mush?
