Dance Gavin Dance’s sixth studio album is much like a poised state of disorder. It's the kind of chaos that's harnessed with a certain elegance that sustains the band’s unfading inscription on an otherwise stale genre. This album paints a uniquely hued image, rich with an infinite pallet where the fusion of beauty and musicianship shine through each crack in the foundation. After nearly a decade of line-up changes, Dance Gavin Dance's sixth studio album could serve as a prelude to a new era of the band.

Like portraiture framed by a string of lucid vignettes, Peter’s Handke’s “The Hour We Knew Nothing of Each Other” offers a momentary view into the beauty of the lives steadily passing by us, all without a word of dialogue. In lieu of serious discourse, inner monologues come to light through actions and words transcend into an abstract language that still manages to speak volumes about the human dynamic.

has proved that he has the potential to fill the cavity that Craig
Ferguson has left in his wake.

The notion of standing on a stage in front of an audience while sharing intimate details about one’s self for the sake of inducing laughter does all but disconcert creative writing senior Ben Kaufman.

The authentic human expression has long been valued as the essence of music because the element of human emotion is unreproducible and unique to the performer. Hinged on deep musical conservatism, some music purists fear that the auto-tuned vocals, software synthesizers and precisely quantized drums found in much of today’s electronic music imperil the fleshly quality in music. The degree of talent required to produce electronic music has also been called into dispute, with cavilers casting disapproval and skepticism upon the lack of physical instrumentation being employed.

A buzz of anticipation infuses the air as the blinding stage lights dim and the incessant chatter from the crowd recedes momentarily. Like a collective moment suspended in time, The Legendary Roots Crew flood the stage and the crowd erupts like a volcano that has been dormant for an eternity. Questlove plants himself on his drum throne, Captain Kirk straps on his Les Paul and MC Black Thought picks up the microphone to remind us that for the next hour, we will be rocking with the best.

Behold, a temerarious new world in which the modern man explores his pursuit of sartorial individuality through irony and outré incongruity. A world where the social membrane of what is fashionably acceptable has been breached to the point where men’s fashion has become that of a gallimaufry of different magazines cut out into one incoherent collage. This world, of course, is today’s glorious landscape of men’s fashion, where the new breed of man roams freely without the shadow of denunciation.
