Non-Required Reading: My Top 5

All right folks, you’ve seen the pretentiousness that TIME has to offer in my last post, so here I am to bring you back to earth.

Downtown Dispatch: Jobot

A few weeks ago, another coffee-shop gem opened in downtown Phoenix: Jobot Coffee. Jobot is the brainchild of John Sagasta, a local coffee connoisseur who first brought coffee to Conspire about two years ago.

On the Road: Skiing and Snowmen

I’m getting a bit ahead of myself blogging about skiing when there has been so little snow in the high country, but there are only a few posts left this semester and there are other posts planned.

Get Fresh: Recipe for Scheduling Success

As cliché as it sounds, this semester has flown by. In only 12 days, we will be stuffing our faces with Thanksgiving delicacies, and in about 31 days, we will be temporarily saying goodbye to fall semester and saying hello to Winter break.

Get Fresh: The Red Cups are Back

As a college freshman, it is essential to have my daily dose of coffee in order to function. This time of year is especially the best to break away from my usual grande caramel macchiato and start my days with a coffee shop's specialty seasonal drinks. Starbucks is by far the best coffee shop for seasonal drinks.

In the Huddle: The Trojan War

Talk about total domination. The ASU Sun Devils (4-4, 2-3 in Pac-10) walloped the Washington State Cougars (1-8, 0-6 in Pac-10) 42-0 in ASU’s Homecoming game last Saturday.

On the Road: Pinnacle Peak Park

It’s a short trip down the road this week to Pinnacle Peak Park in north Scottsdale, 27 miles north of Tempe campus. The Pinnacle Peak area is without a doubt one of the more scenic areas of the Phoenix metro area.

Downtown Dispatch: Butter Toast Boutique

Has anyone else noticed the major vintage trend going around this fall? Well, if you have noticed and have been wondering where you can pick up some of the best vintage in town, my suggestion would be to head to Butter Toast Boutique in downtown Phoenix. Butter Toast is a sweet vintage shop located off Sixth and Roosevelt streets that offers vintage clothing for women and men, as well as vintage and handmade accessories, and also the occasional houseware. On a visit to Butter Toast Boutique, I spotted some beautiful vintage dresses, great vintage men's shirts, and some cute vintage picture frames (perfect for a picture of your sweetie). Butter Toast not only houses an amazing collection, but also offers friendly service (the ladies that own and work at this shop are seriously the sweetest) and great prices that won't break the bank.

Geekin' It: Language 101

Language 101 classes are truly the devil. First, a TA who is fresh out of their undergrad classes and usually has no teaching skills whatsoever is at the front of the class.
