Adrian Savu:

Yeah, I'm a biological sciences major, and I'm focused on the dental track. I'm really excited to be here. Thank you for having me on.

CJ Stevenson:

Of course, Adrian, now I heard down the grapevine that you have a true love for horror. Is that true?

Adrian Savu:

I wouldn't say true love, but I like to watch a lot of horror movies. It's one of my favorite genres out

CJ Stevenson:

there. Now, what is your top three horror movies?

Adrian Savu:

Top three? Number one for me, it's got to be saw two, probably Halloween Nightmare on Elm Street. Those three growing up, watching those scared the pants off me. Those were the most memorable ones, and I keep going back and re watching them.

Sierra Smith

Hannah Langley:

and she is the founder president and team captain of the women's flag football team here at ASU. Thank you so much for sitting down with us today, Sierra, it's been a pleasure meeting you. How are you today?

Sierra Smith:

I'm good. I'm happy to be here and excited to speak with you.

Hannah Langley:

So your guys's first season was last year, and I just want to ask, like, what inspired you to create the women's flag football team here on campus?

Sierra Smith:

So, what inspired me to create the team was I played flag football at Hamilton High School for about two years, and when I graduated is when it became AIA sanctioned. So I never had the opportunity to play at the college level. Never had a chance to get offers, nothing like that. So I knew that Arizona State University was where I was going to end up, due to the journalism program out here. But I really, really wanted to play the sport that I loved still. So back in 2023 is really when the work began, just reaching out to the ad and reaching out to ASU sports clubs. And 2024 February, early February '24 was when the team finally got approved. So that's when our first official season actually started.
