As cliché as it sounds, all good things have to come to an end. And with saying that, Palmwalk Runway too must come to an end. Now, because this is my final blog, I thought that I would change things up a bit, and introduce you to the other side of the camera—your very own Marlee Bever.

Now, I know that I have always been a little wary of organic or natural beauty products. But without trying them myself, I have no real expertise on whether it is really better for you or not.

In honor of this year’s Earth Day, I decided to write both blogs on a recent, yet inspiring, trend that is spreading everywhere. I like to call this trend simply as the eco-friendly fashion.

Many times people are always wondering what type of bag they should buy for the season, and this spring, the only answer is: a bright bag. No matter what the style—a long strap bag, a drawstring bag, or a fun clutch—make sure you choose a color that definitely stands out.

With new flowers blooming, so are spring trends. I love when the light, flowy clothing unravels from closets when the weather becomes hotter. No longer do we have to debate whether or not to wear pants or not. The warm, 90-degree weather is here to stay.

I used to think that if someone braided their hair on top of their head or in a circular way, that they either looked like Princess Leia or a little Dutch girl.

Even with a few gloomy days of spring showers, the weather is definitely not stopping fashionistas around campus.

Now that the weather has finally hit 99 degrees, there is no going back. Students have started to pull out their sandals, tank tops, and sundresses. And for some people, they even seem to have adopted the swimsuit and cover-up style for an all-day outfit. Although the sun may be excruciating at times, new styles and fashions begin to unravel with the weather.

While browsing through one of my favorite fashion trend websites, whowhatwear.com, I came across an easy do-it-yourself project.

As I was walking past the various booths outside of the Memorial Union, I was drawn to one booth in particular. Senior Jordan, and Carson, a junior, was working at the Disney internship booth. I was first drawn to Carson’s layered outfit, but then wanted to also focus on Jordan’s more professional outfit.

Now, many of us cannot necessarily wear high-arched, platform high-heels all of the time, so that is why there is a new trend of shoes called the flatform? Flatforms are the newest, most nifty shoe for spring.

As I was walking past Hayden Library, I spotted a fashion-forward student sitting on the steps of the building. Prior to writing the fashion blog, I would always notice fashionable students here and there around campus, however, now I seem to discover students even from afar.

All right, it is time to ditch the late night snacks, grab water instead of a soda, and hit the gym everyday until the long awaited spring break. We have all made it to the halfway point in the semester and it is time to celebrate—with bathing suit season, of course.

I stand in line at the Memorial Union Starbucks getting my daily dose of energy and casually look around for any fashion-forward student who may pass by. Another student standing in line caught my eye. Senior Ashley Nicole Stickler was wearing her own unique, casual, and comfortable style.

With the sun deciding to make a lasting appearance, the shades begin to unleash themselves. In an earlier blog, I wrote about how to find the right style of jeans for your body type. And now, I am going to advise you on how to find the right style of sunglasses for your face shape.

There is hope for the heat. By the end of the week, the weather is supposed to reach into the 80’s. Which means we can finally get a decent tan outside, without the clouds deciding to come out sporadically every five minutes.

Now, just by hearing the brand name Sperry, many of you are probably automatically associating the shoe with the “frat guy." However, Sperry Top-Sider boat shoes are going to be making their appearance more often on both guys and girls this spring.

I thoroughly enjoy running into a pair of friends who are both equally fashionable. Better yet, I love when the pair of friends happens to be a guy and a girl. Both students each have their own style, one being more whimsical and girly, and the other being more on the preppy casual side.

It seems the older I get, the more fashion that was thought of to be “un-cool” when I was younger, is now becoming the latest trends. When I was younger, mismatching my clothes was an acceptable “fashion." And in a way, the whole mismatch toddler trend has translated into a new trend—mismatched earrings.

I am currently sitting outside, lounging on a chair, listening to Bon Iver, and soaking up all of Arizona’s sun before it decides to become cold again. The sun is so therapeutic and relaxing. Although the sun has been showing itself a lot more recently, I am still seeing students dress for a fall-like weather. It is especially hard when you leave for a 9 a.m. class and it is freezing, become drenched in sweat around 12 p.m. and leave your 7:30 p.m. class to go back out into the cold. This is why many students will dress with a little bit of summer mixed with a winter touch.
